What score did we achieve?

Good Logistics’ score fell under the “Good” rating by EcoVadis. This means that we are recognised as currently holding a good level of sustainability within our practices. The assessment analysed a wide range of criteria over four main sections: Environment, Sustainable Procurement, Labour & Human Rights, and Ethics. The results of the report show that, when compared to all businesses across all industries, Good Logistics is in the top 50% of companies for sustainability, which is a fantastic achievement.

Our key strengths

We were most highly scored under the Labour & Human Rights section, where our result was significantly higher than average industry scores.

Our HR team consistently play a large role in ensuring sustainable practices for our business. They support the development of our employees, community and the business, as well as making sure our Labour and Human Rights & Ethics procedures are in place. They can be commended for their excellent work surrounding the Standard policies under these categories, which include human rights, equity & inclusion, career management & training, working conditions, health and safety and risk assessments.

We also scored highly within the Environment Category, which involved the recycling of printer consumables and IT equipment, as well as reporting on energy use.

Our continuing work…

The report also provided us with feedback for areas of improvement, across all four of the categories. We plan to use the information, across the business, to continue to work towards improving our overall sustainability.

Paul Ferguson, Sales Director, commented on how Good Logistics plan to develop their practices, stating, “we are keen to stay ahead of the crowd and continue to evolve, by remaining committed to being an ethical and increasingly sustainable business. In the areas of Environment and Sustainable Procurement, we are already in the process of improving our practices, featuring particularly in our IT strategy with work on going around CO2 reporting, in particular. We believe the EcoVadis rating will further cement our place as a trusted and respected logistics provider.”

As always, our values are at the heart of everything we do and we will continue to value people, look ahead and act responsibly, ensuring our sustainable and ethical development continues into the future.  Therefore, our clients can be assured that they are partnering with a trusted, efficient and sustainable business, who can meet their supply chain needs now and into the future.
