The John Good Group, established in 1833, has been recognised once again for its recent growth by being shortlisted for the Real Business Growing Business Awards.

In association with Lloyds Bank and supported by the CBI, the Growing Business Awards are the most established and respected national recognition of SME and entrepreneurial success.

The Hull based company, which operates from 16 sites across the UK and also has overseas offices in Turkey and China, has been selected as one of the UK’s leading mid-sized organisations with turnover between £25m-50m. The John Good Group provides services to a wide range of clients in the shipping and logistics, warehousing and distribution and corporate and leisure travel sectors. Despite being around for over 180 years, the company has seen significant growth over the last five years as it strives to reach its financial milestone by 2022.

Managing Director, Alan Platt said: “When we defined our growth strategy back in 2001, we had a huge challenge ahead, but we always believed we would achieve our targets and remain on course to hit our big, hairy, audacious goal in 2022.

“In the last few years our growth has been recognised both locally and nationally which is testament to the hard work and determination of all of the team within the John Good Group.

“We look forward to the awards ceremony and very much hope we will be named winner of our category in 2015.”

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on 26 November.
