Hugo Stinnes Schiffahrt GmbH, now part of the MACS family, has appointed John Good Logistics as its UK general liner agent for it’s MPP Transatlantic Liner Service with effect 01 October 2018.

Hugo Stinnes - Art

Hugo Stinnes was originally established in 1820, a mere 13 years before John Good, and is today one of the leading multi-purpose liner services crossing the Atlantic Ocean linking North Europe with Mexico and the US Gulf through its SANMEX service. As specialists in a range of cargoes ranging from dry bulks and heavy lifts to projects and steel, Hugo Stinnes offers bespoke and innovative transport solutions. It’s fleet of modern multi-purpose vessels connect the ports of Antwerp and Immingham with New Orleans, Veracruz, Houston, Altamira, Port Arthur and a range of other ports subject to inducement.

John Good Logistics has represented MACS as general liner agent in the UK for over 40 years and is delighted with this opportunity to further extend such a long co-operation.

“We very much value the strong relationship we have built with the MACS family over many years and also the good friendships we have made along the way. MACS’s well established multi-purpose liner service from the UK and North West Continent to South Africa remains a market leader on this route. We are delighted to be representing Hugo Stinnes in the UK and very much look forward to taking the reins and developing the SANMEX service,” commented Seamus Jennings, Managing Director of John Good Logistics.
