Our Port Agency business continues to expand with the appointment of John Good Logistics as Owner’s Agent for Turkish Ro/Ro Operator, UN RO-RO, based in Istanbul.
The m.v. “Cemil Bayulgen” is on long-term charter to Coblefret/CLdN and operates between their Purfleet Terminal on the River Thames, Rotterdam and their Killingholme facility on the River Humber. The vessel makes an average of between 15 – 17 calls per month in the U.K.
This appointment has involved Group companies, John Good Logistics (London Gateway office) and DAN Shipping, working together to attend to all owner’s requirements whilst in port including multiple crew changes at both Purfleet and Killingholme. We are currently assisting the Master with pilotage exemption certificates which will be very beneficial to the Charterers. Our agency operations ensure vessel coverage 24/7 to give owners peace of mind.
U.N. RO-RO also operate daily services from main Turkish Ports to Italy and France which is their core trade.
U.N RO-RO was established in 1994 and today operates 12 owned Ro/Ro vessels within its core markets, all under Turkish registry. Their vessel capacity ranges between 200 – 240 trailers. The m.v. “Cemil Bayulgen” is a third generation building (FSG) with an operation speed of 21.5 knots and a LOA of 193m.
