Sea Connect, a Lithuanian based operator of container and feeder services, is extending its current schedule to include a direct sailing between St. Petersburg and the UK commencing 2nd August.
The new container service links the UK directly with Russia – vessels will call at the Port of Tyne (South Shields) every 10 days before proceeding to St. Petersburg. Fast transit times of only 6 days make this an attractive proposition for exporters and importers alike.
Sea Connect, founded in 2006, has already gained a first-class reputation in the market for delivering high frequency services between European main ports and the Baltics. Currently, Sea Connect operates regular liner services between Rotterdam, Hamburg, St.Petersburg, Klaipeda and Tallinn with a fleet of modern 800 teu ice class 1A containerships, each equipped with around 150-200 reefer plugs.
With an impressive portfolio of existing customers, including several deep sea shipping lines, Sea Connect is keen to build on its recent success and reputation.

Sea Connect has appointed John Good Logistics as UK general agent with responsibility for all aspects of the service including ship’s husbandry, operations, sales & marketing.

Sea Connect offers a range of line equipment including 45’ pallet-wide high cube containers and also readily accepts shipper own equipment.
